Sounds really nice. I like pretty much the whole song, but with the exception of the random "woo"s that Deftones already mentioned.

I also noticed a lot of sounds from Nexus2, which is cool. I use it a lot but don't see many others using it.

Pi0run-V responds:

Thanks! :)
I wasn't expecting that this "woo" might not fit. xd
Yes, I used Nexus2. Actually, many producers are using it.

Like MafiaPineapple said, there is mediocre mixing which is leading to clipping. I used to do the same thing, then I started using limiters and compression which might be something you could do. Other than that, it's an awesome song.

Really nice. I love the soft bell sounds that play throughout and also the chords. I also really enjoyed seeing that you can use sounds which are similar to your dubstep ones and use them in a completely different way.

Oh my God, it's Edups.
5/5 for iDubbbz's faggotry.

An awesome mix of House and Dubstep. Awesome, but some things can be improved, such as adding in some more dubstep-esque drums. That said, I really like how you implemented the sounds you have used.

Great work!

My lack of sounds is great xD

I just got a bunch of drums so I will try to vary more.

Thanks!! :D

First off, love those soft chords and the kick pattern as an intro. The kicks have a tribal feel to them, sounds like a rhythm I learned to play on my drums a while back.

Laura's voice fits perfectly with the track. I like the echo/reverb effect that goes with her voice, it makes the words she's saying linger for a while, giving them more meaning. The fade in with the chords is nice too.

That xylophone sound has a really ambient feel to it. Combined with the vocals and their echo, it creates a very calm atmosphere. The voices that come in after a while give the vocals a bit of a boost.

The drop is very glitch-hoppy. The voice kind of sound used sounds really cool, and you've got some really nice chord sounds going on in the background. An unexpected, yet still pleasant, change from the intro.

The bit of a cool down from the drop, again with some soft vocals and the faded-out chords, sounds very similar to the start of the song. As does the build up to the second drop and the drop itself. That is the only gripe I have with the song. Perhaps you could change a bit more in the second half of the song. That being said, it still sounds as good as it did the first time!

The outro is very relaxing too, again using the echoey xylophone sound.

Great song overall. Everything fits together very well, despite the unexpected change from soft to glitch-hop. The only thing that is slightly, and I mean very slightly, dissapointing is the similarity between the first and second drop.

Keep up the awesome work dude!

A lot of this is definitely not yours. It sounds like a bunch of popular songs have been thrown together and it doesn't fit well for the most part. Try not to just throw samples together in a mix and hope for the best, try making your own sounds and patterns.

There are some serious mixing issues with this. Clipping is quite frequent and some of the samples do not fit together at all. Try using limiters and compression to stop the clipping, and be aware of what you are mixing with what.

If you don't already have one, try getting a program like Fruity Loops (or similar) to make songs with, and then look around on youtube for tutorials on how to use synths and make sounds.

I know you're just starting out, but hopefully you'll take this well and use it to improve. Use songs as inspiration and don't just use sample packs to create new material.

Davidgotskill responds:

I should upload a new song preview I've worked on. I only have the lite ver. of Ableton so my music is as good as it gets right now I think. Plus the song uses only my stuff, there is some background stuff that I actually bought in a pack, but that stuff is licensed and I have all rights for that. I probably will eventually delete it when I make the full version. The song on soundcloud is called Tremor Prev. and my username is Davidgotskill.

Sounds great, but what is going on with the lyrics? Barely audible, aside from the "Steak in the boot".
Aside from the issue with the lyrics, I like pretty much everything. Especially that snare drum, sounds amazing.

I love Sad Machine! Great choice of song to remix, Porter Robinson is awesome.

TheArdor responds:

Thanks :D

Epic! I've been waiting for this for a long time dude, but it was worth it.
The melodies and instruments for those melodies are awesome throughout the song. Definitely has a space vibe to it.
The drops are pretty neat too, especially since you have contrasted both of them quite well. Kinda reminds me of the two drops in Supernova by Xtrullor.

Now, how about that collab ;)

Tennon responds:

Thanks, and yes, lets do the collab, skype me :)

I make stuff
